Challenges include verifying income and assets, navigating non-MAGI applications for seniors and individuals with disabilities, and overcoming language barriers. Assistance is essential to help high-need populations successfully enroll and maintain coverage, especially during Medicaid “unwinding” and long-term care eligibility processes.

Health Unity Foundation is an officially designated NY State of Health (NYSOH) Assistor Organization, with trained staff authorized to assist New York residents with health insurance applications, renewals and enrollment assistance for Medicaid, Essential Plan, Child Health Plus, and Qualified Health Plans.
