Course

This course provides a comprehensive foundation in public and subsidized health coverage programs available in New York City, including Medicaid, Medicare, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, and Qualified Health Plans (QHPs). By the end of the course, participants will develop a clear understanding of eligibility requirements, enrollment processes, covered benefits, and key differences between each program.

Learners will gain the ability to assess individual and family needs and confidently determine the most appropriate coverage options based on income, age, disability status, and immigration factors. The course also equips participants with practical skills to guide clients through applications, resolve common enrollment challenges, and ensure compliance with current regulations.
